The horses and riders come from all walks of life and are from all parts of the UK. They have travelled miles to be here from as far north as Scotland to Dorset down south. They have been up since the crack of dawn transforming themselves and their horses into the amazing sight that is the ‘All The Queens Horses’ section of the Parade.

The horses became part of the London Parade in 2012 an idea created by Caroline Marsh and were invited back again the following year and are now a firm favourite with the crowd.

From Shires to Shetlands, Iberians, Connemaras, Friesians, warmbloods, Arabs, Welsh Ponies and thoroughbreds and quarter horses, so many breeds all in one place.

The horses are definitely one of the most interactive parts of the Parade, and it doesn’t matter how old you are, you are a child again when you are able to touch a horse.

The Blue Darter Band from Apopka, Florida is delighted to represent Apopka High School and the wider Orlando area as musical ambassadors in the London Parade 2026. With over 250 student musicians, this vibrant programme features the renowned Blue Darter Marching Band, four concert bands, two jazz ensembles, a percussion ensemble, and a variety of other ensembles that champion the performing arts throughout the year.

The band proudly provides the soundtrack to Friday night football at Apopka High and plays a key role in the cultural life of the school and its community. A highlight of their calendar is hosting the Orange Blossom Jazz Festival – a two-day event held at the Apopka Amphitheatre which welcomes over 50 school jazz bands in a spirited celebration of jazz and community engagement.

The ensemble is led by Mr Jeremy Langford, now in his twelfth year at Apopka High School and his twenty-third year as a music educator. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Troy University and a Master’s from Florida State University – part of which he completed at FSU’s London Study Centre on Great Russell Street. Mr Langford is thrilled to return to London, this time joined by an exceptional group of students and families, to celebrate the New Year and proudly represent their home town of Apopka on this international stage.

The Society started as the Donkey Show Society in 1967. Its founder, the Honourable Robin Borwick, together with the late Reginald Sherriff Summerhays, the Society’s first President and popular author, and other enthusiastic donkey owners, set out to encourage the good breeding and improvement of the status of the Donkey. The aims they set, and which still stand today, are to encourage donkeys’ well-being and to prevent cruelty to donkeys, their protection and general welfare and to promote education on donkeys.

In 1968 the name was changed to the Donkey Breed Society as this was thought to be closer to the aims of the members. Although the title may suggest its primary interest is to ‘breeders’, or for ‘breeding’, this is not the case and the Society is open to all donkey lovers, whether or not they breed or even own donkeys.

Carole Travell has expertly led the donkey breed society at the London Parade for over 25 years and we love to have them at the parade!

The Evans High School Concert Bands, hailing from Evans, Georgia, proudly comprise three vibrant ensembles: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. Under the dedicated leadership of Mr Zachary Bradley and Mr Patrick Williams, the programme offers students rich opportunities to perform a wide range of musical works while cultivating musical excellence, discipline, and teamwork. The bands perform throughout the academic year at school events, regional festivals, and within the wider community.

In 2024, Hurricane Helene brought devastating flooding to parts of the southeastern United States, with western North Carolina especially affected. Like many others, the Evans High School Band community felt the deep impact of the storm. Their appearance in the London Parade 2026 is not only a celebration of music but also a heartfelt tribute to the strength and resilience of those who endured such hardship.

Mr Zachary Bradley, Director of Bands, holds degrees in Music Education and Leadership. A gifted clarinettist, vocalist, and conductor, he has led numerous award-winning ensembles and performed with a variety of groups. In recognition of his dedication to education, he was honoured as Riverside Elementary’s Teacher of the Year for 2015–16.

Assistant Director Mr Patrick Williams is an accomplished percussionist with a BA in Music Education. He has performed across the United States with prestigious ensembles, including The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, and has brought his expertise to several high schools throughout Georgia.

The Evans High School Bands are honoured to represent their school, community, and country on the world stage in London, and they look forward to sharing their music with audiences from around the globe.

The Glencoe High School Symphonic Band, all the way from Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, is making their London debut! This talented ensemble combines members of both their Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, performing with a striking mix of traditional wind instruments and percussion. These students dedicate countless hours throughout the school year to mastering intricate pieces, which they showcase at community events, district, and state-level competitions.

Their hard work has earned them remarkable accolades. In 2024, they performed on one of the world’s most iconic stages—Carnegie Hall in New York City—and previously secured 3rd place at the Oregon State District Concert Band Championships. Each performance reflects their passion for music, their commitment to excellence, and their vibrant school spirit.

At the helm is Benjamin Adams, a music educator with 22 years of experience. A graduate of Florida State University, where he studied the oboe, Mr. Adams not only directs the band but also serves as President for the Northwest Association for Performing Arts and Secondary Music TOSA for the Hillsboro School District. His leadership continues to inspire Glencoe’s students to reach new heights.

Hailing from Washington State in the United States, this proudly no-cut, non-competitive, and fully inclusive band programme is a shining example of musical excellence and community spirit.

With nearly 250 students in the high school band alone—and more than 600 students involved across Years 5 to 12 throughout the Mercer Island School District—one in every five high school students is a proud band member. The band prides itself on creating opportunities for all, and their dedication has led to performances on some of the world’s most prestigious stages.

The Mercer Island High School Marching Band recently brought their energy and talent to the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Josh Velez is a proud graduate of Palm Beach Lakes Community High School. He earned his BA in Music Education from Bethune-Cookman University and his ME in Music from the Florida State University. What’s The Heliosphere?

Imagine a giant helium balloon drifting through the sky, with an acrobat hanging below – dancing, spinning, and diving through the air like they’re flying. That’s the Heliosphere: part theatre, part aerial ballet, and all wonder.

Sometimes the performer swoops down to shake hands with the crowd… other times, they soar up to 20 metres in the air. Add music, lighting, and a bit of New Year’s sparkle, and you’ve got one of the most jaw-dropping moments of the parade.

All the way from the vibrant heart of Clayton County in Jonesboro, Georgia, we are thrilled to welcome The Majestic Marching Cardinals – a high-octane, HBCU-style marching band guaranteed to bring unstoppable energy and flair to the streets of London!

With over 150 members strong, this dynamic ensemble is the pride and joy of Clayton County Public Schools, and they’re known across the US for lighting up every stage, field, or parade route they grace. Whether it’s a football stadium or a presidential lawn, the Cardinals never miss a beat – and they never fail to bring the wow-factor!

Under the extraordinary leadership of Lynel Goodwin, who took the band from a modest 15 members to the powerhouse it is today, the Cardinals have strutted their stuff in some truly iconic moments. They’ve been invited to the White House by none other than former First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, featured in the world-famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and lit up screens during a Super Bowl halftime commercial with global superstar Usher. Oh – and did we mention a halftime performance for the New Orleans Saints?

Mr Goodwin himself has been recognised as Teacher of the Year at Jonesboro High and has received numerous accolades from both media outlets and local organisations for his incredible work and dedication.

Nestled in the heart of beautiful Southern California, Trabuco Hills High School is home to one of the most vibrant and accomplished instrumental music programmes in the region. The Trabuco Hills Instrumental Music Department includes a wide array of ensembles: The Mustangs Marching Unit, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Colour Guard, Drum Line, Jazz Band, Intermediate and Advanced Strings, and a full Symphony Orchestra. The programme prides itself on providing a comprehensive, competitive musical education for all students, supported by a passionate and energetic parent booster club.

This strong community support allows the programme to offer life-changing opportunities, fostering enduring friendships and unforgettable memories. At the heart of this success is a dedicated and talented coaching staff, whose guidance instils values such as commitment, sacrifice, hard work, leadership, and self-confidence. The programme is led by Director Brad Pollock, a seasoned educator with over 35 years of teaching experience across Massachusetts, Texas, Colorado, and California. Originally from Chicago, Mr Pollock holds a bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music and a master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University. Under Mr. Pollocks leadership his ensembles have performed across the US, and internationally, including appearances in Hawaii, Florida, Arizona, Texas, Colorado, London (London Parade 2020), and the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York (2021).

Throughout the years, Mr Pollock’s ensembles have earned numerous accolades – from local and state championships to prestigious “Grand Champion” titles. The concert bands consistently receive superior ratings, while the jazz and symphony orchestras continue to thrive and expand.

“It’s an exciting time to be a Trabuco Hills Mustang,” says Mr Pollock. “Giving students and their families experiences like these, creating memories that last a lifetime, and preparing young people for life through music is what keeps me energised.”

With a voice that commands attention and a sound that lingers long after the last note, Veronica Fusaro crafts a distinctive blend of alternative pop infused with soul and rock influences.

Born to a Swiss mother and an Italian father, her music is a rich tapestry of cultures, emotions, and raw authenticity.

At the heart of Veronica’s music is a unique storytelling ability, with a deep love for lyricism that shines through in every project. Her debut album, All the Colours of the Sky (January 2023), reached #5 on the Swiss charts, earning praise from both fans and critics alike.

Over the course of her career, Veronica has brought her music to the world stage, performing over 500 shows at renowned festivals such as Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival, and Gurtenfestival.

She has also opened for Dire Straits legend Mark Knopfler at the Amphitheatre in Nîmes and closed 2023 with a headlining show at Kaufleuten in Zurich. With a magnetic stage presence that balances vulnerability and playful confidence, Veronica captivates audiences at every turn.

Following the release of her latest single, Jealousy, she is now gearing up for her highly anticipated second album, Looking for Connection, set for release on October 24, 2025. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the West Pride Marching Band and the Overland Express Jazz Ensemble from Shawnee Mission West High School will be returning to the London Parade in 2026! With this appearance, the band marks a record tenth performance at the Parade over the past 30+ years—a remarkable testament to their enduring talent and international spirit.

Known for their electrifying energy and precision, the West Pride Marching Band brings the heart of the American Midwest to the streets of London, while the Overland Express Jazz Ensemble delights audiences with their rich, swinging sounds of classic Kansas City Jazz. Together, they create a musical experience that’s as dynamic as it is unforgettable.

Behind the scenes, these dedicated young musicians and their supporters go the extra mile—literally! From weekend car washes to community concerts, they rally to raise the funds needed to make this transatlantic journey a reality. In fact, one recent car wash raised over $18,000 in a single day—a shining example of teamwork and determination.

At the helm is Dr Bill Thomas, now celebrating his 20th year as Director of Bands at Shawnee Mission West and serving as Performing Arts Coordinator for a school district of more than 27,000 students. Alongside him is Mr Kevin Hupe, the accomplished director of the jazz band and a professional trumpet player who regularly performs across the Kansas City Metro area.

We’re honoured to welcome these extraordinary musicians back to London as they help us ring in the New Year with style, spirit, and a touch of Midwest magic!
