London’s greatest Parade has just gotten a whole new look, and we are so excited to share it with you!
Our cherished New Year’s tradition has made a New Year’s resolution of its own – it’s time for a refresh. From now on, London’s New Year’s Day Parade will be known simply as London Parade, just in time for our 40th Anniversary event.
This is the start of a whole new era, and we can’t wait to see how we’ll attract even more admirers in the next four decades than we did in the first four.
This brand upgrade was led by me and the incredibly talented team at WMA agency, and we felt it was the perfect time to give the event a fresh look and feel. Don’t worry though – we’re still holding the parade on New Year’s Day, with all the fabulous pomp, ceremony, and entertainment that makes it such a beloved event. Expect a vibrant mix of performers from both London and across the world.
“I’m really delighted with the new look and the simplification of the name,” I said. “London Parade will embrace the unique diversity and spirit of our amazing city, and it will be a lot easier to say than the old name – which, let’s be honest, was a bit of a mouthful! This marks a new chapter for the World’s favourite New Year event.”
The updated vibrant color palette of the London Parade brand is inspired by the iconic colors of London’s tube lines, representing the city we serve.
And just so you know, the London Parade isn’t publicly funded – it’s broadcast live around the world, including in China and the USA on PBS. London boroughs compete to raise tens of thousands of pounds for their mayoral charities, with over £2.5 million donated so far.
The organisers of this spectacular event, Destination Events, are known for their international portfolio of major events, including The Rome Parade and the London International Choral Festival.
